Dr. Batmanghelidj's
book
"The Body's Many Cries for Water"
states all disease is related to water
and water heals all disease
He has several other
books on water and diseases related to water

The first time I heard this statement I thought it was crazy.
I thought this is another unfounded ridiculous theory to line someone's
pocket. Sure water is good but the thought that it can cure or that
its deficiency causes all diseases was just too much for me to accept.
Like anyone else I could accept that the purity of water had merit,
but that not drinking enough water could be responsible for all
disease was just too simplistic to be credible.
Well several months after first hearing the statement about water
being the source for all the body's health I obtained Dr. Batmanghelidj's
book "Your Body's Many Cries for Water" See
his web site
I was amazed with the research and substantiation in his book and
it has completely changed my mind and my life. I began drinking
1/2 ounce of water per pound of body weight along with 1/4 teaspoon
of sea salt per quart of water each day. See
Salt page
My energy and desire to exercise has increased tremendously. In
the past my chronic fatigue and lack of energy was so bad that if
I attempted any exercise I would be so exhausted and unable to function
for days. I must add that water is not the only change I have made
for my health but it certainly is a vital part. See positive mind

Since Dr. Batmanghelidj's research has not been accepted by main
stream medicine he has been forced to publish his research to the
public. His first article was published in 1982 and appeared in
the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology in June of 1983 and reported
on in the Science section of the New York Times. He has followed
this up with numerous reports and articles to numerous medical forums.
Here is one of his statatements, "My research revealed that
unintentional dehydration produces stress, chronic pains and many
degenerative diseases.... Medicine has based its understanding that
it is solid matter in the body that regulates all functions of the
body. I have explained scientifically at the molecular level that
it is water that regulates all functions of the body including functions
of solid matter. 75 %
of our bodies are composed
of water. The brain is 85%
water. It is water that energizes and activates the solid
matter. If you don’t take enough water, some functions of
the body will suffer. Dehydration produces system disturbances.
When I use the word water cure, I am referring to curing dehydration
with water." Fereydoon Batamanghelidj, M.D.
This is a recent email reply from Dr. B's
web site.
The benefits of Dr. B's program are fantastic. -but we never
claim that the water and salt will cure things. (That's not
exactly true: Water and sea salt cure dehydration.) When the
body is hydrated, it is better able to protect and heal itself
as it was designed to do. But the body heals itself. The water
and salt only meet the needs of the body to allow it to function
as it should.
re: sea salt. You'll find about 24 reasons why sea salt is
good and needed by the body in Chapter 13 of the book "Water
for Health, for Healing, for Life," by Dr. Batmanghelidj.
He doesn't sell sea salt or recommend any particular brand,
so this might be of help to you on your salt page. (All the
salt that Dr. B talks about is always sea salt. He assumes
that we will be using this, and assumed it from the beginning.
The sea salt is what he grew up with and thought of as salt.) |
The Albany Medical College
published a research report that stubstintuates this claim.
See our disease page and
item (1) where the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular
Biology, Albany Medical College, NY 12208, USA. has indicated
water relates to oxygen and that proper oxygen is a fundamental
basis to prevent all diseases. |

Distilled water is
the most pure water, but not necessarily the best water because
it lacks essential minerals. All minerals as well as all impurities
are removed from distilled water. That means that it lacks vital
nutrition as well. It is suggested that this lack of minerals will
leach minerals out of the bones thus cause more harm than good.
Some say a person with osteoporosis who drinks only distilled water
will accelerate the removal of minerals from the bones. Or in other
words distilled water leaches minerals out of the bones. Others
claim distilled water lacks a healthy ph balance.
A noted Japanese researcher of water Haru Naito has developed what
he claims is the only filter to create completely balanced and healthy
water. See

One of the problems with water treatment plants is the controversial
use of aluminum. see

health problems and is the most prevalent mineral in our world.

"The sad truth is our water supply is compromised by harmful
chemicals. EPA standards require water treatment plants to reduce
certain contaminants. Annual reports issued by the EPA for 2002
indicate that there were 80,635 documented violations nationwide.
When violations occur, “boil water” alerts are issued
but, by then, you may have already consumed contaminated water."

"Distillation of water is widely recognized as the most effective
way to purify water for safe drinking. Although some warn against
the removal of minerals from water, it is understood that the minerals
found in our water are non-absorbable, which means they either pass
through our bodies or worse could build-up contributing to certain
health problems. We agree with the experts that food derived minerals
from fruits and vegetables are a key to health and quality of living.
If you feel that you do not get enough minerals naturally through
your diet, you can also use supplements which of course are from
food source minerals." source |
